HHHunt Cooks to Help Charleston’s Animal Friends

SHARE

One of HHHunt’s brand promises is to be an engaged community partner. Our Apartment Living team members from Abberly at West Ashley and Abberly Crossing apartment communities lived that brand promise when they participated in the 17th annual Charleston Animal Society Chili Cook-Off and Oyster Roast. Volunteers sold tickets to the event with 100% of the proceeds going to the Charleston Animal Society.

Our Apartment Living team members prepared quite a lot of chili and dressed in a fun Dalmatian theme for the event.  While the HHHunt Chili Team may not have won the cook-off, they were able to successfully raise over $1,700 for this worthy cause.

“Twenty five dogs were adopted onsite at the event and the last one went home with me,” said Jenny Owen, Property Manager for Abberly at West Ashley apartment homes. “We just couldn’t leave one dog without a home.”

The event raised over $500,000 making it the most successful chili-cook off ever for the Charleston Animal Society.  It was an amazing opportunity for our HHHunt Apartment Living team members to get involved with the Charleston community and help our animal friends in need.   Everyone on the team had a fantastic time participating.  We love how the Abberly at West Ashley and Abberly Crossing team members collaborated on this outreach project to support the Charleston community.
