How HHHunt Homeowners Use Their Flex Spaces

SHARE

At HHHunt, we believe that your new home should be as unique as you are. That is why we offer a variety of unique customizations and design features so that you can personalize your home the way you want to live. One of our favorite features in many of our new homes and townhomes is our flex spaces. Flex spaces can be anything you want them to be, so we recently asked some of our homeowners how they used their flex spaces.

Playroom or Game Room

Who said that a flex space needs to be boring? HHHunt Homes has redefined the flex space to be the perfect area for entertaining friends and family. For example, here is what the Mahoney family in our Dayton Woods community in Raleigh, North Carolina will be doing with their flex space:

“Our current plan is to use it as a “hobby room.” Maria is planning to set up a sewing table with her sewing machine, and I am planning on setting up my gaming PC and a writing desk on the other side of the room.”

Your imagination is your only limitation when it comes to using your flex space for a game room or playroom. They offer the perfect space to add nooks for storing toys, games or supplies. Playrooms are great for entertaining kids, but adults need to play too. These can serve as a great man cave or she shed.

Many of the plans in our Smart Living Collection offer flex spaces on the first or second floors including the Curie, Edison, and King.

Homeschool or Learning Stations

Many families are spending more time at home due to COVID-19. We’ve got you covered with a variety of home office and virtual classroom options that are perfect for everyone. Check out our Caldwell plan at Taylor Farm which can include an expansive loft space with built-in desks and cabinets. Just because you’re at home doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a comfortable place to work and learn.

Extra Bedroom or Home Office

Have out-of-town guests? Your flex spaces can be customized into an extra bedroom! Having an extra bedroom in your home is perfect if you have friends and family visit from out-of-town frequently. For example, our Davenport plan at Maidstone Village in New Kent County offers an optional third-floor which is perfect for an extra suite and can be customized with an additional bathroom. Your guests will love having their own retreat when they come to visit.

Hadja in Dayton woods is using her flex space as both an office space and an extra bedroom:

“I will be using my flex space as an office/extra bedroom. It will have grayish beige accent wall and a grey desk with Lucite legs. The French doors will have custom curtains.”

Home Gym

One of the most popular ways that our homeowners use their flex space is as a home gym or yoga studio. During the building process, you can select the features you want to make that happen! Imagine getting rid of your gym membership and being able to get a great workout without ever leaving your home.

At HHHunt, we believe it’s how you live that matters and we believe in creating homes that offer you the flexibility to make your home as unique as you are.
