River Mill: End of Summer Music in the Mill

HHHunt Communities celebrated the end of a fun summer in River Mill with another Music in the Mill concert on Friday, August 26th, 2022. Homeowners and friends gathered at The Connexion to kick back, relax and enjoy amazing music, food and sunny weather.

This Glen Allen, Virginia community had a packed social calendar for Summer 2022, with events like the Summer Splash, National Night Out and the Outdoor Movie Night! The lifestyle events and activities in River Mill are always a blast, and Music in the Mill was no different! Guests brought their own blankets and chairs to sit on the amphitheater lawn to listen to an amazing local band and eat dinner from a delicious food truck. It was a fun evening and the perfect way to say goodbye to summertime.

Main Street Station band, a local music group from Richmond, Virginia, took the stage and kept homeowners of all ages dancing throughout the event. Covering the best of new -country and rock songs, Main Street Station was a hit with everyone who attended. The band gave a fun and interactive performance and even let the kids of River Mill dance with them on stage and help with the tambourine! Food trucks are one of our favorite ways to offer delicious food to a large crowd! We invited Firesides to park their truck at The Connexion for homeowners to purchase dinner at the event. Everyone loved their options, including their burgers, quesadillas and gyros! Even homeowners who couldn’t stay for the event ordered dinner to take and enjoy at home! Even with summer in the rearview mirror, the weather was still hot for the event day. Homeowners loved being able to cool off in the pool while listening to the concert, right next to the amphitheater area! The Connexion was a great place for homeowners to cool off in the air conditioning and sit on the screened-in porch overlooking the Chickahominy River during the event. We designed the amenity center to be the perfect spot to host our events and loved seeing the new space in action.
