South Carolina offers residents great weather year-round. While the summers can be hot, most of the year is extremely comfortable with very mild winters. In fact, along the coastal areas, the average temperature during the winter is around 60 degrees during the day! Many folks don’t realize this, but South Carolina is home to one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the United States. South Carolina is home to hundreds of miles of hiking trails, scenic waterfalls, a 7,656 acre man-made lake that offers boating and more, and Sassafras Mountain which stands at 3,554 feet tall. From Sassafras, you can see four states including Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
