Giving Back This Holiday Season

SHARE

At HHHunt, we promise to be an Engaged Community Partner, and our teams have been busy delivering on that promise this holiday season! So, what does it mean to be an Engaged Community Partner? It means that we strive to make a difference in the lives of others by sharing our time, talents and resources. At the heart of this promise is the understanding that we are a part of the communities where we serve and have a responsibility to give back. Here are a few examples of the many ways our team is doing just that during this special time of year.

Fighting Hunger in Our Communities

We just wrapped up our company-wide Food Drive benefitting local food banks across our locations. Our homeowners, residents and partners also joined in on the effort, and HHHunt provided a company match of $1.00 for each item donated. We are so thankful to all who participated in helping provide nourishment for those in need.

Fox Socks provides filled stockings to local children in need, including every child enrolled in the Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance Program.

Our Homes team was able to purchase everything on the children’s wish list, but that’s not all! Family gifts and stockings were also included to fully shower the family with love.

Our Human Resources team members from the Richmond, Blacksburg and Raleigh Corporate Offices purchased gifts for the Salvation Army Angel Tree this year. This program provides new clothing and toys to children who would usually go without any holiday gifts.

Fulfilling Wishes With the CAPA Angel Wish Tree

Team members and residents at our Abberly Pointe Apartment Living community supported the CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention Association) Angel Wish Tree program in Beaufort, SC. CAPA’s mission is to break the destructive cycle of child abuse and neglect by equipping parents, children and caregivers with necessary education, skills and values. As in years past, an Angel Wish Tree was erected at Abberly Pointe, sharing wish list items for children under the care of CAPA. Then, residents and team members “adopted” a child and fulfilled their Christmas wishes.
